OBS is back again at the Frankfurt Book Fair again this October, ready to hit the ground running, exploring, and discovering digital publishing innovations and ideas for our clients and partners.
One exciting initiative we are exploring is how blockchain networks can be put to use to update and streamline traditional publishing processes. The combination of smart contracting plus production and distribution tools built on blockchain stands to revolutionize and potentially redefine publishing as we know it. We are looking forward to sharing ideas and learning more from blockchain developers on the cutting edge who will be in Frankfurt.
On the content side, OBS will also be representing groundbreaking nonfiction titles in the fields of history and political science by renowned author and activist Carl Oglesby. As the agent to his estate, OBS is representing Oglesby’s revolutionary title The Yankee and Cowboy War: Conspiracies from Dallas to Watergate, whose conclusions on American politics are disturbingly relevant to today’s political landscape. OBS is also developing a previously unpublished manuscript of Oglesby’s containing stunning revelations on the ending of World War II and the years that followed.
As the hub of global publishing, the Frankfurt Book Fair is the place to explore new publishing technologies and ideas — and as ever, OBS is glad to be in the fray!
